Expression, Exchange, Embrace

Race and Ethnicity Distribution in New York City
New York City's diversity is both its strength and its challenge—cultures meet but often remain divided by invisible boundaries. This project envisions the city's vacant lots as catalysts for connection: reimagined as cultural nodes, gathering spaces, or learning hubs that bridge neighborhoods and communities. Each transformed site fosters exchange, expression, and embrace—creating a network of spaces where diversity is celebrated, communication flows freely, and inclusivity becomes part of the city's everyday fabric.
