What if... supply chain crisis?

Self-sustainable Network
This project is an urban experiment responding to the potential breakdown of global supply chains. Located within the industrial business zone of Long Island City, Queens, it envisions a self-sustaining framework that integrates housing, public space, food production, and manufacturing.
The proposal unfolds in three phases over 25 years—beginning with opportunistic infill and adaptive reuse, evolving into landscape roofs and urban farming, and culminating in a complete transformation where food, housing, and production coexist in a resilient local ecosystem.

Modular Residential Units
During the opportunistic infill phase, residential rooftops will transform into multifunctional landscapes—combining greenery and urban agriculture to generate energy, supply fresh food, and create shared public spaces that foster community and ecological resilience.
